trick for Android Phone Using Less Data

Trick For Your Android Phone into Using Less Data

Tip 1: Use Chrome 's " Data Saver " Feature to Browse the Web

you can cut Chrome's data usage in half by enabling a single option
To try it out, tap the three-dot menu button in the top-right corner of Chrome and

choose the "Settings" entry. From here, scroll down a bit and select "Data Saver," then toggle the service on. This will use Google's servers to condense your web traffic by as much as 50%, meaning you can browse on mobile data without worrying

Tip 2: Disable Unwanted Sync Options

One of the easiest ways to conserve data is to disable account syncing options that you don't generally use. To begin, head to your phone's main Settings menu, then select the "Accounts" option and choose any of the listed entries.

Using Google as an example, you'll have to select your Gmail account from the next screen. From here, just untick the boxes next to any service that you don't normally use, and your phone will quit wasting data on something you don't want.

Tip 3: Set a Mobile Data Limit & Warning Threshold

Android has a nice data usage warning and limit system that can be a lifesaver in some cases. To enable this feature, head to the "Data usage" menu in Settings, then toggle the switch next to the "Set cellular data limit" option. From here, use the top slider to set your max data limit for a given month, then use the bottom slider to set a
warning threshold.

Tip 4: Restrict Background Data

If you'd prefer that none of your apps waste data when you're not actively using them,
there's an easy fix. From the same "Data usage" menu in Settings, tap the three-dot
menu button in the top-right corner and select "Restrict background data," then press
"OK." This will force all of your apps to cut back on data usage when they're running
in the background, but the downside is that your notifications may be delayed a little
bit.

Tip 5: Identify Data- Sucking Apps

Some apps are coded more efficiently than others, and some have a propensity to eat
up more data than they should. While you're in the "Date usage" menu, scroll down a
bit and you'll see a list of your apps ordered by how much data they've used this
month.
If there's an app that has been using way more data than you think it should, it might
be time to consider uninstalling it and replacing the app with a more efficient
alternative. If your worst offenders are apps that you simply can't live without, you
can select them from this list, then toggle the "Restrict background data" switch on to
reduce their data usage individually.

Tip 6: Restrict Data in Individual Apps

A lot of times, Android's "Data usage" menu isn't the only way to restrict data usage
for an app. Some apps include their own sync and data options, which can be
accessed through the app's settings menu. With the Google Photos app, for instance,
you can head to "Settings," then "Back up & sync" to view some data saving options.
Since this app will automatically back up your pictures and videos, you can choose
the "Back up photos" option from this menu and select "Over Wi-Fi only" to prevent
the app from wasting your mobile data when it's performing backups. Apps with
similar functionality should have a similar option, so be sure to check through the
settings menus in all of your cloud-based and streaming music or video apps.

3 tricks to speed up internet on your Android

1. Clear your app cache

Apps and services slowly build up caches that, in time, can eat up precious system resources.

Ours is in pretty good condition because, thanks to a steady flow of review units, we rarely have a single phone for more than a month.

You, on the other hand, may have built up megabytes of cached data in multiple apps.

You can go through and clean them all out individually, or you can download an app to tackle it all at once.

To do it manually, go in to Settings and then to Applications . Select an individual application that you use often, like your browser or a news reader, and find the Clear Cache button. Do this for all of your most-used apps.

If you’d like to do it all at once, you can download a cleaning app like App Cache Cleaner , which has a Clear All option.

2. Check network settings

If you're having severe internet trouble, then your settings may need checking. Go in to Settings and find something like Mobile Network Settings .

The precise name of the menu will vary from device to device, so have a look around. You need to make sure that your phone is connected to the correct kind of network and that it hasn’t been restricted to 2G or 3G-only.

Most areas in the world run on GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto settings, so give these a try first.

If they don’t work try looking up what your region uses. Some phones have the option to find networks automatically, which is always a bonus.

The main thing you need to check is that your phone’s best broadband technology is activated.

If you’re a 4G LTE handset owner then make sure it's turned on.

If you’re a 3G user then make sure there’s something other than GSM or CDMA active (WCDMA is fine, that’s a form of 3G).

Any changes you make may take up to 30 seconds or more to come in to effect, so be patient and watch the connectivity bar at the top of your device.

3 Disable, delete or uninstall unused apps and widgets

Most apps and widgets are relatively benign, but some use up a tonne of data while they run in the background. The first step is to remove any widgets

from your home screens that you don’t use. These are usually the biggest offenders and are easy to ditch. Just tap and hold on the widget and slide it up

to the Remove icon at the top of the screen. This will not delete the widget, merely remove it from the home screen and cause it to be inactive.

To totally delete an app you need to enter the Applications Menu. From within here the procedure can vary from device to device. Sometimes you can just

tap and hold, but usually you have to find the menu button and hit either Edit or Delete Apps.

Some apps cannot be deleted. These apps are placed on your phone by the manufacturer, by Google or by your carrier. These you’ll unfortunately have to

leave to their own devices.

5 Ways to Speed Up Your Android Phone in Under 5 Minutes

Clear your App Cache (30 seconds)
Over time, your programs write to the app cache on your phone and eat up precious system resources while slowing everything down. To purge the cache:
1. Navigate to the storage menu in Settings. Here you'll see exactly how much cache space is in use
2. Tap Cached Data.
3. Hit Ok to confirm the deletion.
You can also use a third-party app such as app cached data, which will automatically purge your cache automatically on a regular schedule.

Increase Chrome's Memory Limit (60 seconds)

By default, the Chrome browser uses uses only 128MB of available RAM, but you can quadruple that limit and get smoother performance as a result. To increase Chrome's RAM usage:
1. Navigate to chrome://flags/#max-tiles-for-interest-area or, if that's too much typing for you, just go to chrome://flags and scroll down until you see the "Maximum tiles for interest area" section.
2. Select 512 from the pulldown menu. You open the menu by tapping on the word "default."
3. Tap Relaunch Now.

Disable Animations (60 Seconds)

Every time you come back to the home screen or navigate around the app drawer, Android shows you some cool-looking transition effects. However, as nice as these look, they also take more time than just redrawing the screen right away. To disable animations:
1. Navigate to About Phone in settings.
2. Tap the Build number seven times. You'll get a message saying that Developer Mode is enabled. If you already have Developer mode enabled on your phone, you don't need to do this.
3. Navigate to Developer Options in settings. This menu only appears after you've enabled developer mode.
4. Select Window animation scale.
5. Set Animation to off.
6. Select Transition animation scale and Animation duration scale and set each to off.

Disable Lock Screen Animations (30 seconds)

It's really cute the first time you see your lock screen ripple like a pond when you swipe to open the phone. By the 10th time, you just don't want to wait the extra second or two for the animation. To disable lock screen animations:
1. Navigate to Lock screen in the Settings menu.
2. Select Unlock effect.
3. Choose None.

Disable Bloatware (60 seconds)

Your phone can come preloaded with as many as two dozen apps from the carrier and third parties such as Amazon. If you don't use these apps, you should get rid of them, because they can run in the background, even if you've never opened them. For example, a recent Verizon phone we received had the NFL Mobile app in memory at all times, right out of the box.
Unfortunately, unless you have rooted your phone (a complex process that likely voids your warranty), you can't delete preloaded apps. But you can "disable" them so that they can't run in the background, update themselves or appear in your app drawer. To disable an app:
1. Navigate to the Applications Manager in Settings. You may have to tap Applications and then Application Manager
2. Swipe over to the "All" tab to see a complete list of apps on your phone.
3. Select the app you want to get rid of.
4. Tap Disable or Uninstall. If you tap "Uninstall" and then the button changes to say "Disable," tap it again to disable.
5. Hit OK.
